Popular Sci-Fi TV Shows In Detail
"The tools of conquest do not necessarily come with bombs and explosions and fallout. There are weapons that are simply thoughts, attitudes, prejudices to be found only in the minds of men.” -Rod Serling (March, 4 1960) #TheTwilightZone pic.twitter.com/LGnbPNUnSd

Science fiction is an odd genre in the TV industry, yet it is one of the genres that makes the most sense. When you think of an experiment gone wrong in real life you think of deadly consequences that are horrible because they are based on reality. You would think of losing your job if your experiment went wrong and harmed someone or you would think of a lawsuit that would leave you sweating and anxious. At most, you would think of dying a death in a science lab with nothing to show for your work except your experiment’s failure but it is a little different in the TV industry.

Science Fiction TV shows are rather very creative in coming up with concepts based on modern science as we know it while also conceptualizing what it could be in the future with a flare of drama. The best thing about these scientific TV shows is that they never seem to be away from a society neglecting laws and societally acceptable behaviour. Still, they also always tend to find a creative way to reap the consequences of their actions which would differ greatly from real life. Such creativity can be seen in all aspects of the best Sci-Fi shows with their emerging plotline that keeps the viewers on their toes.

- The Twilight Zone- The famous Twilight Zone was created by Rod Serling in 1959 because of TV channels not giving his social commentary the momentum he wanted but this did not become the reason for the popularity of the show. Instead, the show gathered a large fan following because of its ability to tap into primal fears that are very real in everyday life and give an iconic commentary on them. It came to an end in 1964.
