It was revealed in the Jump Festa 2024 by Gege Akutami who is the creator of the manga that the manga is set to end by the time the next Jump Festa would take place in the year 2024.

The Jujutsu Kaisen Manga was talked about in the Jump Festa 2024 which was recently held at Makuhari Messe, Chiba, Japan on the 16th of December. The Jump Festa is an annual event held to celebrate the multiple Shonen Jump manga series.
This event had multiple panels on one of which the creator of the Jujutsu Kaisen Manga was also sat. Gege Akutami on his panel announced that the Jujutsu Kaisen Manga is set to end in the near future. It has been announced that there is a possibility that by the time the next Jump Festa rolls around in the year 2024, the Jujutsu Kaisen Manga will have already reached its conclusion.
This is not the first time the author Gege Akutami has announced the manga ending soon. In the Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #8 also Akutami stated that they wish to end the manga by 2023. Akutami believes that the manga is nearing its climax and there would be no point in dragging the storyline. This might be because Sukuna, the main antagonist has revived himself which made the most major plot shift in the storyline.

The major plot of the last chapter was the battle between Sukuna and the dual Higuruma and Yuji becoming extra fierce. The most shocking was that Sukuna had admitted to all the charges against him which stopped the battle from dragging out for long. Higuruma had the executioner’s sword during the battle.
Simultaneously Judgeman also passed a confiscation which very surprisingly did not apply any cursed techniques and instead applied to the cursed tool with Sukuna which left Higuruma open to attack. During this battle, Kusukabe stepped in and managed to save his life. This battle was iconic since it became Sukuna vs 4 after this event.

Now the newest chapter 246 will continue from this point and have the battle unfold where fans expect Sukuna to win as the two characters out of four to not compatible in combat. The fans also expect some deaths to unfold in the following chapters in the Jujutsu Kaisen Manga.
Because this chapter becomes a major stepping stone for the final chapter that the manga will end on. This has led fans to be a little concerned about their favorite characters because since the manga would be ending there are definitely going to be things happening in the final chapters that they would not like to their characters.

During the Jujutsu Kaisen Manga panel, it was revealed that the manga has reached an all-time new high in terms of copy circulation with 90 million copies across the 25 volumes. Since the manga began in the year 2018 in the Weekly Shonen Jump magazine it had become an instant fan favorite and has remained that way since then.
Fans have since then laughed and cried with this manga and become emotionally attached to it. With the news of it ending fans are a little worried about the storyline coming to a rusty end. Some are worried that their favorite characters will not get the justice they deserve.
While most of the fans are excited to see what the creator does next with the series, especially after the new cover reveal of the 25th volume that looks amazing, they are apprehensive about the decision to end the manga right now.
